Talend ETL Developer :- (Positions 2)
Responsibilities:
- Design & Develop Scalable and Reusable Database Processes.
- Design, code, and test major features, as well as work jointly with other team members to provide complex software enhancements for databases.
- Design and develop SQL / Java processes to perform complex ETL processes.
- Gather requirements from users and business leaders.
- Monitor scheduled jobs and improve reliability of ongoing processes.
- Monitor and measure system performance.
- Mentor staff in ETL best practices and efficiencies.
- Construct and design documents and documentation to aid in maintenance and code reuse in accordance with team processes and standards.
- Interact with key partners and internal users regarding timelines, technical issues, and infrastructure integration.
- Coordinate and participate in application testing and quality inspections.
- Participate in code reviews in accordance to standards.
Skills Needed:
·
Candidate to at least have 5+ years of
experience in software industry.
·
Hands on exposure to ETL or ELT tools like
Talend Open Studio (secondary: Data Stage or Informatica or SQL Server
Integration Services).
·
Strong knowledge about ETL concepts like Star
schema modeling, slowly changing dimensions etc.
·
Ability to develop or maintain batch scripts on
Linux systems.
·
Basic exposure to Java or other programming
languages.
·
Good understanding about data warehouse systems
and BI tool like Jaspersoft. (Cognos or SAS or Business Objects).
·
Good to have exposure on building OLAP cubes.
